Mild cold wave to continue

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that the mild cold wave sweeping over the north and western regions of the country will continue.

"A Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Panchagarh and Chuadanga and it may continue", according to the met office forecast issued Sunday morning. 

"Weather may remain dry with the temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", the forecast added.

A low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours.

Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.

The country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 30.1 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and the minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 09.3 degrees Celsius jointly at Chuadanga and Tetulia.

The sun sets on Sunday at 05:14 pm and rises on Monday at 06:34 am in the capital.
