Bangladesh, Timor-Leste ink two instruments

Bangladesh and Timor-Leste have inked two instruments aiming to reach the relations between the two nations to a new height.

The agreements were signed on Sunday at a joint press appearance at Chief Adviser's Office (CAO) in the city in presence of Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and President of Timor-Leste Jose Ramos-Horta.

Home Adviser Lt Gen Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Timor-Leste Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Dr Bendito dos Santos Freitas signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.

The two instruments are exemption from visa requirement for holders of diplomatic and official or service passports and the establishment of bilateral consultation mechanism (BCM).
