Massive restaurant fire in Uttara brought under control

The massive fire that broke out at a restaurant in Sector 12 of Uttara in the capital was brought under control.

Twelve units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) worked to bring the fire under control at around 2pm on Friday, after four hours of firefighting. 

The blaze started at the Love Leen Restaurant on Shah Mokhdum Road at around 10:38am. At first, eight units rushed to the spot, later joined by four more.

Fire Service Control Room Official Anarul Islam said a total of six people were rescued from the building. One of them was taken to a hospital for treatment.
