Case lodged over Keraniganj bank robbery attempt

A case was lodged over an attempted robbery at the Jinjira branch of Rupali Bank at Dhaka's Keraniganj on Thursday. 

The bank's senior officer Tarek Mahmud lodged the case at the Keraniganj South Police Station the same night. 

Three people surrendered in the incident, they are Arafat, 16, Niloy Molla Nirob, 22, and Sifat, 16. They are all residents of Kadamtali in Keraniganj. Nirob is a driver while the other two are students. 

Confirming the matter, Keraniganj South Police Station Officer in Charge (OC) Mazharul Islam said the three surrendered people were shown arrested in the case and sent to court. Police pleaded to take Nirob on a seven-day remand.
