Bail rejected, Salam Murshedi lands in jail

Two Khulna courts on Sunday sent former Member of Parliament (MP) of Khulna-4 constituency and industrialist Abdus Salam Murshedi to jail after rejecting his bail petition in four cases related to killing, attacks and violence.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Takiya Sultana and Judicial Magistrate Altaf Mahmud of the two separate courts passed the order.

On behalf of the accused, Barrister Tahsin Ahmed said Salam Murshedi was produced before the court, showing him arrested in four cases. In the court, his bail petition has been rejected. Subsequently, he was sent to jail. 

Prior to this, Salam Murshedi was produced before the court with tight security measures.
