Death toll rises to 7 in Meghna River vessel tragedy

Five bodies were recovered from a goods-laden ship named MV Al-Bakhera on the Meghna River in Chandpur on Monday.

Three others were rescued in critical condition, however, two of them died while receiving treatment. 

The police have not yet identified the seven deceased. 

The injured person has been identified as Jewel, 28, said Chandpur Coast Guard Commander Lieutenant Fazlul Haque.
