Janaza of movement victim Arafat held at Central Shaheed Minar

Namaz-e-janaza of Arafat, who was shot by police during the anti-discrimination student movement, was held at Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka.

The 12-year-old madrasa student who sustained bullet injuries during the anti-discrimination student movement died last night.

Arafat's brother Hasan Ali conducted the janaza.

Information Adviser Nahid Islam, Special Assistant for the Health and Family Welfare Ministry Professor Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, student leader Sarjis Alam, Arafat's father Shahidul Islam, among others joined the janaza.

Arafat was undergoing treatment at Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital, CA Press Wing said.
