ACC to again investigate Sheikh Hasina in Novo Theatre case

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will again launch a probe against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina in connection with the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre corruption case, sources at the ACC said on Tuesday. 

On March 27, 2002, the defunct Anti-Corruption Bureau lodged three cases against the then-opposition leader Sheikh Hasina in connection with the Novo Theatre project.

After several years of legal proceedings, the cases have remained unresolved at ACC.
