DMP files 2678 cases for traffic rule violations

Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 2678 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

This information was confirmed in a press release issued Saturday, signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

It said the DMP Traffic Division had filed those cases and realized fines on December 26 and 27 through regular drives against traffic rules breakers.

During the drive, a total of 77 vehicles were impounded and 98 others were towed. 

The DMP information further said the drive will continue to bring discipline to Dhaka's streets.
