Hasnat Abdullah for July Proclamation by January 15

Convener of the Students Against Discrimination Hasnat Abdullah has called for the "July Proclamation" by January 15.

He set the deadline during his speech at the March for Unity programme at Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka on Tuesday evening.

"As of now, we do not have July mass uprising declaration. It should be issued January 15," he said.

He, however, warned saying, "We will gather again with the proclamation at the same venue on that day." 

Hasnat said that their fighting against the fascism and the Awami League will continue. 

Students Against Discrimination had announced earlier that the "July Proclamation" would be declared at today's programme.

Meanwhile, the government said it would formally announce the proclamation on the basis of national consensus.

Later, students urged all to join "March for Unity" programme.
