Fire breaks out at Purana Paltan building

A fire broke out on the second floor of a four-storey building at Dhaka's Purana Paltan on Tuesday morning. Five units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) are trying to bring the blaze under control. 

The fire started at the law chamber of the building named Manikganj House at around 9:17am.

FSCD Control Room Duty Officer Lima Khanom said, five firefighting units reached the spot and started working at around 9:24am. 

She also said that the cause of the fire and the amount of damage could not be ascertained at the moment.
