Govt revokes passports of Hasina, 96 others

The Department of Immigration and Passports has cancelled the passports of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 96 others due to their alleged involvement in enforced disappearances and the July killings, said Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder at a press briefing.

The press briefing was held at the Foreign Service Academy in the city on Tuesday evening.

Azad, however, did not reveal the names of remaining people whose passports were cancelled.

CA’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam also spoke at the briefing.
