Former MP Shafiqul arrested

Former MP from Dhaka-10 constituency Shafiqul Islam Mohiuddin has been arrested by Uttara West Police Station from his house in Sector 4 of Uttara in the capital on Wednesday evening.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Uttara West Police Station in Dhaka, Hafizur Rahman said, “Shafiqul Islam was arrested in a raid at his house based on secret information. He has been arrested in a murder case filed against him with Uttara West Police Station.”

He also said that Shafiqul Islam will be produced before the court on Thursday. He will be questioned in details about the murder.
