SP Mohiuddin Faruqi suspended

The government has suspended Muhammad Mohiuddin Faruqi, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Police Special Training School (PSTS) at Betbunia of Rangamati.

In this regard, a gazette notification signed by Secretary Nasimul Gani was issued by Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

He has been suspended from government service in the public interest, according to the notification.

The suspension decision came as per the provisions of section 57 of the Public Service Act, 2018, it added.

During his suspension, Faruqi will be attached to the APBn and Specialized Training Centre, Khagrachhari.

He will receive subsistence allowance as per rules.

Earlier, on November 13, 2024, Mohammad Mohiuddin Faruqi was arrested from PSTS, Betbunia in connection with a case filed with Jatrabari Police Station.
