6 trucks burnt in Tejgaon fire

A fire broke out in a garage of the capital's Tejgaon truck stand on Sunday morning and was brought under control.

According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD), six trucks were burnt in the blaze. 

Talha Bin Zasim, FSCD media wing officer said the garage was actually a shop. Six trucks were burnt. The fire is now under control. 

Confirming the matter, duty officer Md Shahjahan said the FSCD received information about the fire at around 8:05am. Three firefighting units reached the spot at 8:10am and started working to control the fire. It was brought under control after 8:30am. 

The origin of the fire could not be immediately ascertained.
