No tension at border now: Home Adviser

The situation at the border is almost normal as the construction of barbed wire fencing had already been stopped, said Home Adviser Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Tuesday.

He was responding to a question after emerging from a view exchange meeting with the divisional officers in Mymensingh.

“There is no tension in the border now,” he said.

He added that the BGB-BSF level DG meeting is set to be held next month.

Jahangir also said some unequal contracts have been inked between the two friendly neighbouring countries.

He said they have already sent a letter to this end.
