Case lodged against former president Abdul Hamid

A case was filed against 124 people including former president Md Abdul Hamid, former PM Sheikh Hasina, Sheikh Rehana, Sajib Wazed Joy, and Saima Wazed Putul. 

The case was filed at the Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station by BNP activist Tohmul Islam Mazharul, 27, a resident of the Sadar Upazila's North Latibabad area, on Tuesday afternoon. 

Officer-in-Charge of the police station Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the matter. 

According to the case documents, a procession of the anti-discrimination student movement was attacked at around noon on August 4, 2024. The plaintiff was shot in the attack. He claimed that he delayed filing the case as he was receiving treatment for his injury. The case documents claimed that the attack was planned and executed on the orders of the defendants.
