Police, RAB, Ansars to get new uniforms

Bangladesh Police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), and Bangladesh Ansar are getting new uniforms, the Ministry of Home Affairs said. 

After a meeting of the Law and Order Committee at the Secretariat on Monday, Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said each force's uniform will feature a distinct colour. 

A total of 18 different uniform samples were reviewed at the meeting before the final uniforms were chosen. 

Previously on August 11 last year, the then-Home Advisor M Sakhawat Hossain said that police uniforms and logos would be changed. 

Later in October, a committee was formed to complete the task.
