No bomb found on Biman flight: HSIA authority

A search was conducted on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Rome to Dhaka following a bomb threat. However, no object resembling a bomb or any other suspicious object was found on the airplane. 

A Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) source confirmed the matter at around 12:30pm on Wednesday (January 22). 

Earlier, HSIA Executive Director Group Captain Kamrul Islam in a note said, "We received a bomb threat from an unknown number for Biman's Rome-Dhaka flight. The flight landed safely at 09:20am with 250 passengers and 13 crews. All passengers were safely disembarked from the aircraft and they went to the terminal."

The Biman flight BG-356, en route from Rome to Dhaka, received information during the journey that someone onboard had issued a bomb threat. 

Following the landing, the aircraft has been secured within a safety perimeter by law enforcement agencies.
