Court orders to attach Nafeez Sarafat's Dubai flats

A Dhaka court has ordered the authorities concerned to attach two flats in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), owned by former chairman of Padma Bank Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat.

Allowing a plea filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order on Wednesday. 

The two flats are located in "The Signature" and "Damac Hills" apartment complex in a posh neighborhood of Dubai.

ACC deputy commissioner also Investigation Officer Masudur Rahman filed the appeal before the court.

On January 7, the court ordered the authorities concerned to attach different properties, including 18 flats of Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, his wife Anjuman Ara Shahid and son Chowdhury Rahib Sarafat.
