7 govt colleges to be separated from DU

The authorities concerned have taken decision to honorably separate the seven government colleges from Dhaka University. 

The decision was made in a meeting between Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan and the principals of the seven public colleges on Monday.

The seven government colleges are Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Begum Badrunnesa Government College, Government Bangla College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, and Government Titumir College.  

From the 2024-25 academic year, the first-year undergraduate admission test of the seven government colleges will no longer be held under Dhaka University.

However, the activities of the current academic year will be run by Dhaka University administration.
