3 decisions on quota implementation taken at Advisory Council meeting

The meeting of the Advisory Council of the interim government was held on Thursday at Chief Adviser's Tejgaon office with Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus in the chair.

The meeting discussed the issue of admitting students in the five percent seats reserved for the children of freedom fighters, martyred freedom fighters and heroines in government and private medical colleges, dental colleges in the 2024-25 academic year. 

Three decisions were made in the meeting.

The Medical Education and Family Welfare Division, Law and Justice Division, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Liberation War Affairs will take necessary actions in this regard.

The Ministry of Public Administration will present a summary with opinions or recommendations on the implementation of the quota system in the current context in the appointment of government jobs.

In addition, the Secondary and Higher Education Division will present a summary with opinions or recommendations on the application of the quota system in the current context in admissions to educational institutions at the meeting of the Advisory Council.
