CA Yunus inaugurates Ekushey Book Fair

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has inaugurated the month-long 'Amar Ekushey Book Fair' on the Bangla Academy and Suhrawardy Udyan premises in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.

Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki addressed the opening ceremony as the special guest.

Bangla Academy Director General Mohammad Azam gave a welcome speech while Bangla Academy President Professor Abul Kasem Fazlul Haque chaired the programme.

The theme for this year's book fair is "July Gono Obbhuthyan: Notun Bangladesh Binirman" [The July Uprising: Rebuilding a New Bangladesh].

A total of 708 publishers are taking part in the book fair.
