Drone panic during Akheri Munajat injured more than 100

The first phase of the 58th Bishwa Ijtema, the second-largest congregation of Muslims, concluded on Sunday morning through Akheri Munajat. However, a loud noise created panic among the attendees and the commotion injured more than 100 people. 

Samakal's Tongi Correspondent Abu Saleh Musa was among the injured. He said the loud noise was created when a drone crashed to the ground. 

The injured have been treated at various nearby hospitals. 

According to eyewitnesses, a heavy gust of wind caused a drone to crash. It caused panic among the attendees. Many fell and injured themselves. 

Confirming the matter, Tongi East Police Station Officer in Charge Foridul Islam said the owner of the drone could not be identified.
