3 Titumir student on hunger strike in critical condition

Three students of the Titumir College who were observing a hunger strike demanding their educational institute be turned into a university, are in critical condition, a doctor said. 

Government Employee Hospital's physician Dr Russel said the three students were in critical condition. They are not able to urinate... The mechanism that creates urine is being restricted. 

He made the remarks at a press briefing held at Mohakhali on Sunday afternoon. 

Several students of Titumir College went on a hunger strike in front of the college's main gate on January 29. Till now, seven of them have been admitted to various hospitals in the capital. Nine others are also showing signs of deteriorating health. 

Meanwhile, the students have also blocked the road in front of the college, causing suffering to general people.
