12kg LPG cylinder price hiked by Tk19

The price of a 12kg liquefied natural gas (LPG) cylinder has increased by Tk19 to Tk1,478 for the month of February.

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the decision effective from 6pm on Sunday (February 2).

Meanwhile, the price of "autogas" (LPG used for motor vehicles) has been hiked by Tk0.89 per litre, setting the new price at Tk67.74.

Prices for other sizes of LPG cylinders—ranging from 5.5 kg to 45 kg—will also rise accordingly, the BERC added.

The average import price of LPG has increased by $10 per tonne.

On Saturday, the Energy and Mineral Resources Division hiked the prices of diesel, kerosene, petrol, and octane by Tk1 litre.
