Ferry movement resumes after 9hrs on Paturia-Daulatdia route

The ferry movement between the Paturia-Daulatdia river route resumed after 9 hours of suspension for poor visibility as the dense fog blanketed the river bed of the Padma, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) sources said.

Movement of all kinds of water vessels was suspended on Sunday midnight to avoid accidents. The suspension was lifted at around 9am on Monday.

Mohammad Salahuddin told the Daily Samakal that visibility was nearly zero last night. However, the movement of all kinds of water vessels has resumed.
