Families of July uprising victims block Shahbagh, demand justice

Family members of the victims of the July uprising blocked the busy Shahbagh intersection on Tuesday with three demands. 

Unless the Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus arrives and talks to them, they will not leave, the protesters claimed. They have also threatened to withdraw cases. 

The family members blocked the Shahbagh intersection at around 10am on Thursday. The blockade continued well into the afternoon, causing traffic congestion in the surrounding areas. 

Their demands include- swift apprehension and trial of the killers, formal recognition of the martyrs from the government, and a visit from the CA.
