Monir Haidar appointed as CA’s special assistant

Journalist Monir Haidar has been appointed as special assistant (Building Consensus) of Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus.

Monir has been appointed contractually for six months, said a circular issued by the Ministry of Public Administration and signed by deputy secretary of the ministry Abul Hayat Md Rafique.

According to the circular, Monir has been appointed on the condition that he will forego any other professional attachments, including jobs or businesses, and relationships with government, semi-government or non-government organizations.

Monir's status as a special assistant will be similar to a senior secretary, it added.

Other conditions of this appointment will be fixed based on the contract, the circular further said.
