Police to lead Operation Devil Hunt, armed forces to assist

Those who are trying to destabilize the nation will be brought to book under Operation Devil Hunt, Home Ministry senior secretary Nasimul Goni said on Sunday. 

When asked who would lead the operation, the senior secretary said the police would lead the operation and armed forces would assist the police. 

He made the remarks at a press briefing regarding "Operation Devil Hunt" on Sunday. 

On Saturday, the government announced a countrywide crackdown of the joint force "Operation Devil Hunt" to bring culprits to book and maintain law and order. 

The decision was taken on Friday night in a joint meeting of the law enforcement agencies following Friday's terror attack on the student-people in Gazipur district. 

"The operation is set to start in Gazipur and elsewhere across the country from today," said a press release of the Home Ministry issued Saturday.
