Service rules for DMTCL underway

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has been working to formulate its own service rules for recruiting manpower directly.

"We have working to prepare service rules for DMTCL recruitment directly," Managing Director of DMTCL Mohammad Abdur Rouf told BSS on Tuesday.

As early as possible, he said, the DMTCL will finalize the service rules for open recruitment aimed at ensuring smooth plying of metro rail in the capital.

"After getting opinions and recommendations on the service rules, we will send it to the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges for finalization," he added.

The managing director said the 60th board meeting of DMTCL instructed on October 3 to formulate the service rules for officers and employees of the company within 60 working days.

About the service rules, DMTCL issued a circular on February 16 and published a draft service rules and schedule on its website for necessary opinions and recommendations (if requires).

Director (Administration) of DMTCL AKM Khairul Alam issued the circular and requested all to submit their opinions and recommendations by Tuesday.
