PSC gets 7 new members

The interim government has appointed seven new members of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission. 

Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.

The new members are Dr. Ferdous Arfina Osman, professor of the Dhaka University; Shabbir Ahmad Chowdhury, retired officer from foreign service; Md Munir Hossain, retired police officer; Dr. Shahnaz Sarkar, professor of Bangladesh Agriculture University; Professor Dr. A.M. Farid Uddin Ahmed, BCS health cadre officer; Sharif Hossain, professor of Dhaka University; and Brig Gen (Retd) Md Anwarul Islam.

With these new members, the total members of PSC rose to 15.

According to the notifications, members would hold office as a member of the BPSC until the completion of five years from the date of their assumption of office, or until they reach their age of 65, whichever occurs earlier.
