Case filed 3 days after robbery, rape on running bus

A case was filed with the Mirzapur Police Station in Tangail in the incident of robbery in a passenger bus on the Dhaka-Rajshahi route. 

Omar Ali filed the case against 8-9 unidentified people. He was a passenger of the bus who hailed from Baraigram upazila of Natore. 

Mirzapur Police Station Officer in Charge Mohammad Salahuddin confirmed that the case was filed Friday. 

According to the passengers, a Unique Road Royals Paribahan bus left from Dhaka's Gabtali on Monday night and headed towards Rajshahi. Some passengers boarded the bus from the Chandra area. Afterwards, the new passengers brought out arms and took control of the bus, robbing the other passengers and leaving the bus 2-2.5 hours later. They also allegedly sexually assaulted female passengers in the running bus.
