Outsourcing workers block road demanding permanent jobs

Employees of the Bangladesh Outsourcing Employees Welfare Council blocked the road in front of the capital's Press Club to make their jobs permanent.

They started the blockade from 3 pm on Saturday, causing serious traffic jams in the secretariat and surrounding areas.

The blockaders have made a one-point demand to make the jobs of those working in outsourcing projects permanent in all government, autonomous departments and directorates.

The blockaders said they will not leave the road until their demands are met.
