Joint drive of RAB, Police, ATU from today: IGP

Aiming to put an end to robbery and snatching, three specialised units of the police will start a drive soon, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has said. 

"We have decided to take a special measure to prevent snatching. Dhaka Metropolitan Police, RAB and Anti-Terrorism Unit will conduct a joint drive. We hope it will be implemented from Monday. We will see if this yields any improvement. If not, we will resort to some other plan," he said. 

The IGP made the remarks while speaking at a workshop held at the PTI in Rajshahi on Monday.
