Trader hacked to death by teen gang attack in Ashulia

A cylinder businessman was brutally hacked to death by the members of a teen gang at Ashulia in Savar on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Momin Mia, 45.

The incident took place at Charalpara of Dakshin Baipail area of Ashulia around 10:30pm. 

The victim's family members said Momin Mia has been involved with the gas cylinder business for a long at Ashulia. Local teen gang leader Rubel and Asif ultimately pressurized him to operate drug peddling. But he refused to do that repeatedly.

Following this, nearly 30 armed members of the group attacked him with lethal weapons on Tuesday night.

After receiving information, Ashulia Thana police rushed to the spot immediately and recovered the body and sent it to Shahid Suhrawardy Hospital for autopsy.

Earlier, a murder case has been filed with Ashulia Police station.

Inspector (Investigation) of Ashulia Police Station, Kamal Hossain said six teens involved in the murder have been arrested. The police are continuing the drive to arrest others.
