Govt to recruit 5,500 doctors

A total of 5,493 physicians will be appointed through the Public Service Commission (PSC) to improve healthcare services across the country, including the capital Dhaka.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the advisory council on Tuesday.

The meeting was chaired by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.

Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forests, Climate Change and Water Resources, announced the decision at a press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road after the meeting.
