Eid advance train ticket sale to start 14 March

Bangladesh Railway has decided to start selling advance train tickets for Eid holidaymakers on 14 March.

Advance tickets of 7 days for intercity trains will be sold in a special system. For the convenience of passengers, 100 per cent of tickets will be sold online. 

Bangladesh Railway Director General Afzal Hossain disclosed the matter to the media after a meeting on Sunday. 

According to the decision, the intercity ticket for 24 March will be sold 14 March, 25 March to be sold 15 March, 26 March to be sold 16 March, 27 March to be sold 17 March, 28 March to be sold 18 March, 29 March to be sold 19 March, and 30 March to be sold 20 March. 

The tickets of 31 March, 1 April and 2 April will be sold depending on the moon sighting. 

As per the passengers' request, 25 per cent of tickets may be sold at the stations. 

A passenger can buy an advance ticket only once and book 4 seats. No refunds will be available for this ticket.
