Court attaches 54 katha plots of Summit Group

A Dhaka court has ordered to attach plots measuring 54 katha in total owned by Summit Group.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the court allowed a petition of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in this regard.

In the plea, the anti-graft body said the commission has already formed an investigation team to probe allegations amassing illegal wealth and money laundering against Summit Group and companies with business interests with them. 

"The accused are trying to hand over the immovable properties and that is why those should be attached," the plea added.
