Govt makes promotion of 196 officers as joint secretaries

The government has promoted 196 deputy secretaries to the rank of joint secretary.

The Public Administration Ministry issued two separate gazette notifications in this regard on Thursday.

The notifications asked the promoted officers to submit their joining letters directly or through email to the Senior Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry.

The notifications said the promotion of any of these officers could be revoked or amended on receipt of any negative or “different type of information”.

Two of the officers to have received the promotion are currently serving abroad as councilors.
