Court freezes 31 bank accounts of Mirza Azam, wife

A court has ordered to freeze 31 bank accounts of former Jamalpur-3 lawmaker Mirza Azam and his wife Dewan Aleya over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order on Tuesday, allowing two separate pleas of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Of the accounts, 18 are in the name of Mirza Azam and 13 are in his wife's name. 

The court also ordered to attachment of 19 bigha plots of the couple.
