Mild heatwave may continue for 5-days

A mild heatwave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Rangamati, Feni, Sitakunda, Jashore, Bagerhat and Patuakhali and it may continue, according to a release of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) issued Thursday. 

The BMD forecasted that the day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country. The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky.

The country's maximum temperature was found at 36.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday at Jashore district under Khulna Division, while Thursday's minimum temperature of 19.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Sitakunda upazila in Chattogram district.

The sun sets at 06:12pm on Thursday and rises at 05:55am on Friday in the capital.
