Mild to moderate heat wave sweeping over several districts

A mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Dhaka, Tangail, Faridpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Rangamati, Feni, Laxmipur, Jashore & Chuadanga, and it may continue.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) mentions this in a press release issued Friday, adding that day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country. The Weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

Rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at one or two places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. 

It said trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas and seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

The country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 38.2 degree Celsius at Bagabari in Rajshahi Division while ZFriday's minimum temperature 17.8 degree Celsius was recorded at Dimla in Rangpur Division, the Met office added. 

Friday's sunset is at 06:16 pm while Saturday's sunrise is at 05:47 am in the capital.
