Bike accident kills 2 at Kalshi Flyover

A collision between a car and a motorbike killed two men at the capital's Kalshi Flyover on Friday night. 

One of the men was flung from the flyover due to the collision which occurred at around 10 pm. The identity of the two deceased could not be confirmed. 

Citing eyewitnesses, Pallabi Police Station Officer in Charge said two men were on the flyover when a Toyota CH-R model car hit them. The pilion rider was flung nearly 25 below the flyover while the driver was flung on the flyover. The motorbike was damaged heavily. 

An eyewitness named Naim Mahmood wrote on his Facebook that one man died on the spot. The National Emergency Service at 999 was called multiple times, but they failed to respond quickly. 

Police said the two men were sent to the Kurmitol General Hospital. They were referred to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the duty doctor declared them dead at around midnight.

A source at the hospital said that both men are in their twenties. 

DMCH Police outpost in-charge Inspector Md Faruq said the bodies are kept at the hospital's morgue. The vehicles involved in the crash were seized by Pallabi Police.
