BIDA chairman gets state minister status

Ashik Chowdhury, executive chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), has been given state minister status.

The cabinet division issued a gazette notification in this regard on Monday.

The order has been issued in the public interest and will be effective immediately, said the notification.

The interim government appointed Ashik Chowdhury as the executive chairman of BIDA on September 12, 2024.
