ICT asks police to initiate Interpol red notices against Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan, 8 others

The International Crimes Tribunal has asked Police Headquarters to initiate red notices through Interpol against 10 high-profile individuals over charges of genocide, murder, and crimes against humanity committed during the student-led uprising in 2024.

The high-profile individuals include former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader and former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam made the disclosure while speaking to journalists at the International Crimes Tribunal on Thursday. 

The other eight individuals named in the tribunal order are former liberation war affairs minister AKM Mozammel Haque, foreign minister Hasan Mahmud, jute and textiles minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak, mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, education minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, former state ministers Nasrul Hamid Bipu and Mohammad Ali Arafat, and ex prime minister's security affairs adviser Tarique Ahmed Siddique.
