'Face of Fascism' burned in fire at Fine Arts

Two motifs - one of them is the 'Face of Fascism', the other is the 'Dove of Peace' - made for celebration procession of Pohela Boishak at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University have burnt down.

Dhaka University Proctor Saifuddin Ahmed said that the two motifs caught fire between 4:45am and 5:00am on Saturday; at that time, the members of the mobile team on duty had gone to offer Fajr prayers. 

A visit to the Faculty of Fine Arts in the morning showed that a fire had broken out where the faculty was working on the motifs and they had burnt down. The monstrous 'Face of Fascism' motif was completely burnt down in the fire while the Pigeon of Peace motif was also partially burnt down.

Informing about the burning of the two motifs, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Professor Azharul Islam, said that the fire broke out in the morning.
