US Ambassador visits Ha-Meem Group factory

Tracey Ann Jacobson, Chargé d'affaires at the United States Embassy in Dhaka, visited the Tongi Zone garment factory of Ha-Meem Group, one of the main suppliers to the garment sector in Bangladesh, at around 12:30pm on Thursday.

At that time, the US diplomat discussed the use of high-quality US cotton in the garment industry.

Ha-Meem Group Managing Director (MD) A.K. Azad, Director Sajid Azad, Ha-Meem Group Tongi Zone Chief Operating Officer (COO) Akhtaruzzaman, Executive Director (ED) of Merchandising Garima Srivastava, among other senior officials, were present during the visit to the factory.

The ambassador was accompanied by US Embassy's Labour Affairs Officer Leena Khan, Commercial Counselor John Fay, Agriculture Affairs Officer Sarah Gilleski, and Labour Specialist Saifuzzaman Mehrab.
