Bashir gets additional charge of aviation and tourism ministry

The government has handed an additional portfolio to adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin for taking charge as the adviser for the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. 

A notification to this effect was issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday.  

With this new responsibility, he will now oversee the aviation and tourism sector alongside his existing portfolios. 

Currently, Sheikh Bashir Uddin has been serving as the adviser for the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Textiles and Jute. 

The aviation and tourism ministry was previously under the supervision of Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus following the death of Adviser A.F. Hassan Ariff in December last.
