Court freezes 45 bank accounts, attaches 4 flats of Nasrul

A Dhaka court has ordered the freezing of 45 bank accounts and the attachment of four flats belonging to former State Minister for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid due to corruption allegations. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib granted a request from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in this regard.

The court also ordered the seizure of three Land Cruiser SUVs owned by Hamid. 

The ACC stated that Hamid allegedly amassed significant illegal wealth and might attempt to sell or transfer his movable and immovable assets to obstruct the ongoing investigation. 

The court ordered the properties frozen or attached to ensure a proper investigation.
